Coaches and Directors
I am entering my 15th year of coaching and my 10th year with American Energy Swim Club. I began my swimming career at the age of 10 in Baumholder, Germany where I competed for a local club team on the army base. I spent the next several years moving around with my family and swimming for different local swim teams. I swam my freshman year of college at Indian River Community College where I competed with the NJCAA national championship team. From there, I moved to Georgia Southern and competed at the Division 1 level to finish my swimming career.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Institutional Management and worked with Marriott out of college as a chef. During this time I have moved to five different states and also have three children.
We moved to Oklahoma in 2012 where my oldest daughter took an interest in swimming and began swimming with Chesapeake Swim Club. I began coaching with American Energy Swim Club in 2014.

I was ten years old when I decided to take a leap of faith and enter into the swimming world and haven't looked back since. Something that I initially thought would be a fun hobby turned into a lifestyle, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to share my passion through the club that constructed it. Throughout my years of swimming, I’ve been blessed to have several amazing coaches who have helped me gain confidence not only in swimming but life outside the pool and that, more than anything, is the impact I too hope to have. I am so very blessed to be a part of the AESC family and look forward to everything this journey entails. See you at the pool!

From a young age, I fell in love with swimming and began my journey with the YMCA in Buffalo, NY at five years old. After moving to Southern California, I spent 12 years with the Mission Viejo Nadadores and two years with Saddleback Valley Aquatics. My dedication and hard work led me to make Junior Nationals at the age of 15.
I continued my passion for swimming at Northern Arizona University, specializing in the 100 and 200 Breaststroke and the 200 and 400 IM. During my time at NAU, I made finals all four years at conference and was Team Caption my senior Year. I also pursued a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management and spent ten years working for Marriott as an Event Manager and Front Office Manager in various locations.
In 2009, my family and I moved to Edmond, OK, where I began coaching for the Y in 2015. I quickly fell back in love with the sport and continued to coach from the stands as my daughter Caleigh started swimming.
I am thrilled to now be a part of the coaching team at American Energy and am confident that my wealth of experience both in and out of the water will serve as a valuable guide for our young swimmers as they develop and grow.
I am originally from McAlester, OK. I moved to Edmond in 2002 where I attended UCO majoring in Human Services with an emphasis in Substance Abuse Studies. I lifeguarded for the Red Cross for 15 years and taught swimming lessons as a certified water safety instructor for 14 years. I have been married to my husband, Justin, for 10 years. Our son, Jax, has been a swimmer with AESC since October of 2018. I am excited to be apart of this team as not only a parent but as well as an assistant coach of the pre-comp team.
